Debra Boehlke - Arizona Attorney Generals Office
September 2007

Identity Theft

Debra Boehlke from the Arizona Attorney Generals Office will talk about how identity theft is a serious crime. According to the Federal Trade Commission, Arizona ranked first in ID theft complaints in 2004 among all states, and metro Phoenix ranked number one among all metropolitan areas in the country. The Attorney General's Office is working hard to reduce ID theft in Arizona

Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personal information without your permission to commit fraud or other crimes. Debra will provide information to protect your identity, and provide advice about what to do if you are a victim of identity theft.

A Little Bit About Debra - I owned my own business in Chicago for many years, sold it to my employees, and moved to Arizona. Since moving to Arizona, I have worked at American Express in the Worldwide Fraud Dept. I also ran for the State legislature in 2006, and have worked for the Governor, and now the Attorney General in Community Outreach in our Public Advocacy Division. I consider myself a true FRAUD FIGHTER!

I was a member of NAWBO years ago, and respect your organization greatly!
